The care home provides respite, convalescent and palliative care to residents aged from 65 & to those living with a physical disability or sensory impairment.

We are an independent 40 bedded Care Home, established for over 70 years & we pride ourselves on providing a safe and homely environment where the unique need of each resident is recognised.

We are looking for an approachable and friendly Grounds & Maintenance Assistant, with a can-do attitude, to work with our Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator. The role will include maintaining all areas of the Home with the primary emphasis on the gardens and grounds, including mowing, weeding, planting, dead-heading, and general garden maintenance. Other duties will include painting and repairing garden furniture, sheds and railings.

The role also includes a variety of general maintenance jobs inside the home, such as cleaning, painting and decoration, ad hoc repairs and organizing storage. You will have a proactive approach to spot and report maintenance and Health and Safety issues.

You will show a keen interest in gardening, no qualifications are required but previous experience in a similar type of role would be highly advantageous. You will demonstrate good decision-making skills and common sense and take pride in consistently providing a high standard of customer service.
