Activities Coordinator

Part time – 4 days/week (30 hours)
£14.01-£15.17/hour  - (Dependent on Experience)

Swarthmore Care Home is set in beautiful, landscaped gardens in the desirable village of Gerrards Cross, where there are many opportunities for residents to enjoy a variety of cultural and leisure pursuits.   
The care home provides respite, convalescent and palliative care to residents aged from 65 & to those living with a physical disability or sensory impairment.  We are an independent 40 bedded Care Home, established for over 70 years & we pride ourselves on providing a safe and homely environment where the unique needs of each individual are recognised.  

This is a varied role, and one that is at the heart of our home, enhancing the lives of our residents. You will join our existing Activities Coordinator & together you will plan and provide a programme of weekly activities, with a person centered & flexible approach, tailoring activities to the specific needs of our residents.

Where no two days are the same, ideally you will be creative, have experience of arts and crafts, be full of ideas & initiative, and bring fun and energy along with your sense of humour to enhance the lives of our lovely residents with meaningful activities.   Proficient with IT & technology, with the ability to produce the weekly activities schedule and to support our residents with Skype/WhatsApp video calls to family & friends.

Working Pattern:

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Week 3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday

Week 4 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Car driver essential, for trips out.  Occasional Weekend/Bank Holiday working.  We are a short walk from Gerrards Cross High Street, the train station, bus routes & have onsite parking.
