What we got up to in July

2nd August

The weather has been a little turbulent this month a mixture of very hot weather and large down pours of rain. We havebeen able to enjoy lots of entertainment outdoors in our wonderful gardens; Anne Park and friends played a few famous pieces by Mozart whilst the residents enjoyed an afternoon tea.

Our activities team have been very busy introducing new art classes to our residents. Air clay leaf printing, salt art, jewellery making and lots more. We have seen some wonderful creations around the home.

Reminiscing about the seaside, Punch and Judy, ice creams and dipping their toes in the sea!

Celebrating World Chocolate Day - say no more you can guess what that involved! Some of our residents have been enjoying Wimbledon and the start of the Olympics on TV. Of course, this involved strawberries and cream. Lots of birthday celebrations this month - which meant lots of cakes and flowers. Happy birthday to all our lovely ladies.

We ended the month with our Annual Henley Boat trip. We sauntered along the River Thames in a chartered boat. This included a picnic lunch enjoyed by all. The weather was perfect. We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery of gardens and properties along the river including lots of wildlife. Thank you to Anne Marie and Jeanette for arranging this wonderful day out.
