August Activity

31st August

The weather has not been great but that doesnt stop us having lots of fun at Swarthmore.

Some of our residents went out on a morning trip to a garden centre for browsing and shopping and of course it would have been rude not to stop for tea and cake!

We continue to have muscial entertainment from various artists, certain residents love to singalong and dance so its always welcomed.

An afternoon BBQ was arranged through acitivities and our Chef.  A Western theme with lots of delicious food and drink.  This was served outside on the patio for some.  The dining room was also dressed to the theme for those who like to eat indoors.

Ann Marie and Jeannette have organised lots of arts, crafts and games including the Wii Bowling Alley.  Our residents are always up for learning and this is also great for improving physical and social functions.  Its surprising how much fun they had! Make sure you look through the photo's..

We had one of our Trustee's come over to discuss her involvement with  a Food Bank and how volunteer's help make such projects happen,.

September is almost upon us, lets hope we see the sunshine again before Autumn changes the colour of the leaves. You can view our September Activity schedule under the following heading on the Website - Our Care, sub heading Your Time.

Thank you to everyone that helps Swarthmore a great place to be.
