February Activities

28th February

Another month has whizzed by with some turbulent weather.

Swarthmore celebrated Dignity in Care of which I wrote a more detailed article in the News category.

One of our residents Kitty celebrated her 108th birthday, what an amazing lady. Peter our Maintenance Coordinator left us this month, he has left to further his career move.  We wish him well.

Ann-Marie and the residents had a lovely Saturday afternoon shaking, rattling and rolling with many instruments. We can always rely on one of residents to dance the afternoon away. We had a visit from Jane from Amersham Museum talking about lots of memorabilia. You cant beat an afternoon down memory lane. Anne Park spent an afternoon talking about different pieces of wood, which looked very interesting. A couple of our residents have been enjoying passing the time of day going through some amazing jigsaw puzzles up to 1000 pieces. Well done ladies. Valentines’ day was enjoyed together with Windsor Lodge and Rushymead Care homes via Zoom. They listened to different poetry and had a craft afternoon decorating hearts together. A few residents were taken out for a breath of fresh air and coffee on the high street in Gerrards Cross.

Cake decorating in the lounge - we saw some wonderful designs and everyone got to enjoy the cakes for afternoon tea.

Spring is in the air, daffodils are popping up and the evenings are drawings out. All we need now are blue skies and sunshine.

Looking forward to see what is happening in March.
