July Activities

29th July

Its been another busy month for Swarthmore residents.  We have had lots of people presenting various topics which involves conversations about lots of fascinating subjects.  A couple of our Trustee's gave talks about their life on yachts, and how to design and build a home.  Claire, our Home Manager brought in her tortoise's Amos and Monty to see the residents.  One of our carer's has started giving French lessons - Ohlala....

Ann-Marie and Claire took the residents to visit Jordans Quaker House to learn about the history of Quakers.  Swarthmore celebrated 75 years; you can read the full article on our Newspage.  Lots of great art classes continuing with our fellow artists.  There are some wonderful pieces dotted around the home.

Its lovely to see families enjoying the use of the gazebo area at the moment as the weather is warm.  Residents are enjoying their time spent outside on the patio area whilst the weather is pleasant.  We are continuing to renovate area's around the home.  Some bedrooms and corridors are now complete, we are currently working on communal areas which we hope to complete in the coming month.

We hope your enjoy the summer holidays.  Look forward to seeing you soon.
